Why larpify.me

Anyone can fake a number. Almost nobody can fake the second screenshot. That is the whole reason for the LarpStack™

There are other places to get a fake dashboard. Most are one screen, a phone-sized image, or a price you only find after you have installed something. Here is the argument for this one, with the arithmetic shown, and the two comparisons people write in and ask for.

The short version

Better priced, worth more, harder to catch

Three claims. Each one is checkable, and the rest of this page checks them.

A whole stack for $6.66 an app

Pro is $19.99 a month for every app that is live and every app that ships after it — about $6.66 each today, and less every time we add one, because the price does not move when we do. Basic is $9.99. Lifetime is $100 once, which is 6 months of Pro and then nothing, ever again.

One persona, told three ways

A wallet, a store admin and a payments dashboard now, 4 more in build, all on the one account. The same name and the same story across all of them, so a post can be a balance, a sales chart and a payout landing — three screenshots that agree with each other, taken on the same afternoon.

Built from the real design tokens

The store's greys, radii and shadows are read out of Shopify's published Polaris token package rather than eyeballed. The wallet's palette is sampled from Phantom's own screenshots. It does not look like a mockup of the app because it is not one — it is the app's design system, redrawn.

The LarpStack™

One screen is a screenshot. Three is a life.

A single fake dashboard survives exactly one post. The moment somebody asks where the money went, or you want a second slide, or the video runs longer than four seconds, you need the next screen — and it has to agree with the first one.

  • The wallet holds the number. The store explains where it came from. The payouts screen shows it landing in a bank account. Same persona, same day, three angles.
  • Every app reads the same profile: your name, your business, your currency. Set it once and the whole stack answers to it.
  • Desktop where the real product is desktop and mobile where it is mobile, so a store admin looks like a laptop and a wallet looks like a phone.
  • New apps land on your plan the day they ship, at the price you signed up at. The stack gets deeper while your bill stays where it is.

The arithmetic

What it actually costs you

Not a discount claim — just the division. Every figure here is computed from the pricing page, so it cannot drift away from what you are charged.

PlanYou payPer live app (3)The catch
Basic$9.99 / month$3.33 / monthThe live apps and everything that makes them hold up. New apps are a Pro thing.
Pro$19.99 / month$6.66 / monthEvery app as it lands. Once the 4 in build ship, the same bill is $2.86 an app.
Lifetime$100 once$33.33 onceBreaks even against Pro in 6 months. After that the per-app number keeps falling on its own.

Prices are in US dollars and currently show a limited-time 50% off. Stripe takes the payment; you cancel yourself from the billing portal without writing to anyone.

Head to head

The two we get asked about

Both compared against what they publish about themselves, with the sources listed at the bottom of each page. Where they win a row, the row says so.

The receipts

Why it survives the reply guy

“Realistic” is easy to put on a landing page. These are the four things that actually decide whether a screenshot holds up, and what we do about each one.

The numbers are derived, not typed twice

Average order value is sales divided by orders. Conversion is orders divided by sessions. Today's row is your monthly figure scaled to the day, then scaled again by how far into the day it is. You set one number; the rest are computed off it, so there is no pair of figures on the screen that can contradict each other.

The charts come back identical

Every line is drawn from a seed rather than random noise, so a reload returns the same shape. The screenshot you post next week matches the one from today — which is the detail that catches people out when a chart is regenerated on every visit. Reroll it deliberately if you want a different story.

The chrome is the real chrome

Colours, corner radii and shadows come from published design-token packages where the vendor ships one, and from a histogram of the vendor's own screenshots where they do not. The values are in the stylesheet with a comment saying which is which. Nothing on the screen was matched by eye.

One key and the strings vanish

Presentation mode wipes the Customize button, the floating action button and the edit panel in a single shortcut. What is left is the interface with nothing on it that the real product would not have. Screenshot it, record it, or hand somebody the phone and let them scroll it themselves.

The honest bit

When you should not pay us

If you need one Shopify screenshot, once, on a phone, there are free tools that will do it and you should use one. If you only ever shoot vertical video and will never show a laptop, half of what you are paying for here is the desktop half. And if the thing you actually want is a fake receipt, a fake chat or a fake invoice, that is a different product entirely — we do not make one.

What we sell is depth: apps you can move around inside, numbers that stay consistent while you do, and enough surfaces that a story can be told more than once. If that is not what the post needs, the cheaper answer is the right one.

Compare it properly, then decide.

Read either comparison, or skip the reading and open the apps. Cancel yourself from the account page if it is not what you wanted.
